Who we are and what we do
Tailwind IT Solutions is based in the Judean Hills of Israel, located about 20 minutes from Jerusalem. The Hebrew name for "Tailwind" is "Ruach Gabit" (רוח גבית). "Ruach" (רוח) means "wind" or "sprint" and "gabit" (גבית) means "towards the direction of our back."
Tailwind IT Solutions was founded in 2019 by two experienced web developers: Joseph Magen and Tomi Frank.
We believe that web technology should serve as a "tailwind" pushing your business forward. Unfortunately, for many businesses, it can be a "headwind" slowing you down. Tailwind is a custom web development boutique that specializes in creating custom-made tailored solutions for your business that truly serve as a "tailwind" (ruach gabit) to propel you forward.

Joseph Magen, Software Engineer
I am a husband, father of four, software engineer, entreprenuer, and business opportunist. I first started teaching myself web technologies twenty years ago in 1999 and have been a self-taught developer every since.
Before starting Tailwind, I worked as a senior software engineer at Red Hat for almost 5 years. I am a big propopent of open-source software and wish I had more time to contribute to open-source projects. I moved to Israel from the USA in 2001. I graduated from Virgina Tech University with a B.S. degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, and later completed a Masters of Business (MBA) from Bar Ilan University in Israel. My goal is to help clients experience a solution whereby:

Tomi Frank, Full Stack Web Developer
For the past 8 years I have been working in the field of web development and have a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry. Skilled in Javascript, VueJs (client-side), PHP, Laravel (server-side).>
Expert in custom WordPress theme and plugin development, including Vue.js integration with the core WP CMS using the WP API.
Providing high level service is an important principle for me, which has guided me over the years. I enjoy developing, designing and building quality websites and web applications, and even more enjoying having satisfied customers.
